Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1lb. cooked shrimp with shells
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or crushed
  • 8 slices bacon
  • lemon wedges
  • parsley

Directions

  1. Combine butter, chili powder and garlic in a small saucepan. Set over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted and heated thoroughly. Remove from heat and set side.

  2. Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap 1/2 slice bacon around each shrimp and secure with wooden pick. Set temperature control of range at broil (500 degrees or higher).

  3. Arrange shrimp on broiler rack. Brush with butter sauce. {Place rack in broiler so tops of shrimp are about 3 inches from heat source. Broil 3 minutes or until bacon is cooked, brushing once again during cooking. Place on warm platter; garnish with lemon wedges and parsley. Serve immediately with Chili dip.
