Baked Apples Filled with Sausage

Ingredients

  • 6 large tart apples
  • 1 cup seasoned sausage
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions

  1. Wash apples; cut slice from top. Scoop out cores and pulp, leaving shells 3/4 inch thick. Chop pulp.

  2. Combine pulp with sausage, salt and brown sugar. Fill apples with sausage mixture.

  3. Bake at 375 degrees until done. Serve with potatoes or rice.
