Applesauce Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- Bread
- 2 1/2 c. Applesauce
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 3/4 brown sugar
- 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/4 t. salt
- nutmeg
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Arrange in bottom of greased 9" square pan: 2c. applesuace; 1/2 c. rasins, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/2 t. ground cinnamon

Spread over bread. Top with: 4 additional slices dry bread

Beat together: 2 eggs, 2 c. milk, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 t. vanilla, 1/4 t. salt, dash ground nutmeg

Pour over bread. Top with: 1/2 c. applesauce, sprinkle of cinnamon-sugar

Bake 55-60 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
