Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, divided
- 1 cup chopped yellow onion
- 4 lbs. chicken wings
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3/4 cup honey
- 6 tbsp. Sriracha
- 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 3/4 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp. chopped green onion
Directions

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray.

In a large cast-iron skillet, heat 1 tbsp. oil over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Place in slow cooker.

Sprinkle chicken wings with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in skillet; add half of wings, skin side down. Cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Place in slow cooker. Repeat with remaining 1 tbsp. oil and remaining chicken wings.

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Sriracha, soy sauce and onion powder. Pour 2/3 cup honey mixture over chicken wings. Reserve remaining honey mixture. Cover and cook on LOW 4 hours. Place wings on a serving platter. Drizzle with remaining honey mixture, and sprinkle with green onion.
