Brownie Waffles

Chocolate may cause sticking, so cooking surfaces should be lightly re-oiled before making this recipe. Oil cooking surfaces before preheating Wafflebaker.

Ingredients

  • 6 TBSP margarine or shortening
  • 2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened backing chocolate
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions

  1. Combine melted margarine (or shortening) and chocolate in medium-size mixing bowl. Let cool slightly. Stir in surgar and egg yolks; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with milk to chocolate. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. fold egg whites into chocolate.
