Baked Hamburger- Vegetable Chowder

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup rice
- 1 cup diced canned or fresh tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 small potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 cups water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place beef in a skillet. Cook, stirring with a fork to break up meat, until browned. Add remaining ingredients. Mix until well blended. Spoon mixture into aa 3-quart casserole. Cover. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. or until rice and vegetables are tender. Serve hot in bowls.
