Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. medium elbow macaroni
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup cream
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt to taste
- white pepper to taste
- pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook macaroni in salted water until tender, about 6 minutes. Drain, toss with butter and place in baking dish.

Heat milk and cream over medium heat, season with salt, pepper and cayenne. Stir in cheese, when cheese melts, pour sauce over macaroni and mix well. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake until golden brown and bubbly, 30 to 35 minutes
