Ingredients
- 1 12 lb. turkey
- 1/2 lb. butter
- salt
- 2 pieces celery
- 1 medium onion

Thaw turkey under water or in refrigerator. Cut off oil bag and tips of wings. Clean well; salt inside and out. Put butter, celery and onion in bird. Cover with foil, bright side against meat.

Cook breast down, in 300 degree oven 4 hour and 30 minutes to 5 hours and 30 minutes. When bird is done, drumstick will break loose from side,
