Baked Spareribs

Ingredients

  • 3 strips spareribs
  • flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • red pepper to taste
  • sage to taste
  • prepared mustard
  • 4 Tbsp. fat
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Directions

  1. Cut spareribs in serving pieces on rack in a roasting pan. Dust with flour and salt, peppers and sage. Spread layer of mustard on spareribs.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for hour and 30 minutes, basting several times. Drain and reserve 4 Tbsp. fat.

  3. Place reserved fat in a fry pan. Stir in the flour and cook until brown. Add 2 cups hot water and season with salt and pepper. Cook stirring until brown. Add 2 cups hot water and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and serve with spareribs.
