Beef Pie with Biscuit Topping

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. raw beef or 1 cup diced leftover lean beef
  • 2 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 11 oz. can vegetable soup with beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 recipe for baking powder biscuits

Directions

  1. Brown meat in fat. If raw meat is used, cook thoroughly.

  2. Combine meat, soup, water and seasonings and pour into a well-greased casserole. Pat dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out. Arrange biscuits on top of meat mixture.

  3. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
