Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 mashed bananas
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 4 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 4 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup broken pecans
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- Banana-Nut Coconut Frosting:
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
- 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar (4 cups)
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

Cream together the butter and sugar. Add slightly beaten eggs. Stir in bananas, mashed with a fork.

Sift soda and flour together and add alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Fold in pecans and coconut.

Bake at 350 degrees about 50 minutes, in a long cake pan or in two eight or nine-inch pans.

Frost with Banana-Nut-Coconut frosting when cool.

Frosting:

Cream together butter and powdered sugar. Add the mashed bananas, pecans, coconut, and vanilla. Mix well and frost cake.
