Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. flank steak
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 3 tbsp. sherry
- 1 tbsp. minced fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. barbecue sauce
- 16 (8-inch) skewers, soaked in water 30 minutes

Freeze flank steak 30 minutes to firm up.

Meanwhile, stir together green onions, soy sauce, hoisin, sherry, ginger, garlic, and barbecue sauce in a small bowl.

Cut flank steak across the grain into about 48 slices. Transfer to a 1-gallon Ziploc bag and pour sauce over steak. Massage bag to mix well, then chill 2 hours.

Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat. Remove steak from bag, discarding marinade, and thread 3 slices onto each skewer.

Lightly oil grill grate. Grill skewers 1 minute per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.
