Ingredients
- 1/3 cup beer
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. mustard powder
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 6 oz. grated white cheddar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp. grainy mustard
Directions

Heat beer with butter, mustard powder and salt and pepper in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming. Gradually whisk in cheese until smooth. Whisk in egg; cook, whisking until thickened, 2-4 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in mustard.
