Ingredients
- 15 lb. meaty pork ribs
- 10 quarts water
- 4 cups tomato paste
- 4 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups red wine
- 12 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 48 oz. vinegar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup salt
- 6 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 15 pods hot peppers
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 cup sugar

for the barbecue sauce,. mix all ingredients but meat well in a large kettle. Simmer 6 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally.

Use the sauce to brush over the ribs as they cook slowly on a charcoal grill 40 to 50 minutes.
