Barbecued Snapper

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 3 to 4 lbs. red snapper

Directions

  1. Lightly brown onion in shortening. Add other ingredients except snapper; mix well. Place whole fish on a shallow pan. Pour sauce over fish. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, basting occasionally.
