Ingredients
- 1 beef tongue
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tsp. peppercorns
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped sweet pickle
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. mustard
Directions

Place the tongue in a saucepan and cover tongue with cold water. Add the garlic, celery, onion and peppercorns. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours. Drain and discard the broth.

Remove skin and gristle from the thick end of the tongue. Slice and place in greased baking dish.

Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour the sauce over the tongue, and place cover on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
