Ingredients
- 4 strips thick-sliced bacon, diced
- 1/4 cup diced white onion
- 1/2 tsp. minced fresh garlic
- 2 tbsp. water
- 3 tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp. molasses
- 2 tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard
- 16 oz. can Navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 8 hot dogs, grilled
- 8 hot dog buns, toasted
- Diced white onion and red bell pepper
Directions

Cook bacon in a saucepan until crisp; transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and pour off all but 1 tbsp. drippings.

Saute 1/4 cup onion and garlic in drippings over medium-high heat until softened.

Deglaze pan with water, scraping up any brown bits, then stir in maple syrup, molasses, vinegar and mustard. Add beans, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer beans until heated through and sauce is syrupy, about 10 minutes.

Serve hot dogs in buns topped with beans, onion and bell pepper.
