Basic Rhubarb

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. rhubarb
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup hot water

Directions

  1. Wash rhubarb, cut into 1-inch lengths ands place in double boiler. Steam 20 to 30 minutes, until nearly tender.

  2. Mix sugar and hot water and add to rhubarb for last 2 minutes of cooking. Serve hot with cinnamon as a vegetable dish, or chill and serve with yogurt, frozen yogurt or spoon over fruit salad.
