Easy sticky lemon-turmeric chicken

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs
  • salt, to taste
  • for the lemon-turmeric glaze/sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200Âșc.
  2. Brown the chicken thighs in an oven-proof pan on both sides, seasoning generously with salt.
  3. Combine the honey, lemon juice, pepper, turmeric and curry powder and mix well.
  4. Pour the turmeric mix over the chicken and place in the oven.
  5. Allow to cook for 30 minutes, basting with the glaze every 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze has thickened.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve.
