Batter Fried Fish

Ingredients

  • Fish
  • Milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Soak pieces of fish in milk for 30 minutes.

  2. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, shortening, egg and 3/4 cup milk to make batter.

  3. Remove fish from milk; dip in batter. Fry in hot fat until brown and well done.
