Bavarian Beer Spread

Ingredients

  • 5 or 6 chives, very finely chopped
  • 10 oz. Camembert cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 to 5 tbsp. beer (Bavarian Wheat Beer)
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt nd pepper
  • chopped chives to garnish

Directions

  1. Remove rind from the Camembert and place in food processor.

  2. Add butter, chives and paprika and process until smooth.

  3. Add beer a Tbsp. at a time until smooth and spreadable.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Transfer to a crock or bowl and garnish with chopped chives. Can be stored in the refrigerator overnight.

  6. Serve with pumpernickel or rye breads slices.
