B in B Beef Loaf Wellington

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 oz.) or 2 cans (3 oz.) B in B Sliced Mushrooms including broth
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground chick
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/8 tsp. poultry seasoning

Directions

  1. Drain mushrooms (save broth). Lightly mix together meat, mushrooms, (save a few for garnish), 2 Tbsp. mushroom broth, eggs, onion, green pepper salt and pepper.

  2. Form into 10 × 3 1/2 inch loaf in shallow pan, at least 12 × 8 × 2 inches.

  3. Stir biscuit mix, poultry seasoning and 1/4 cup mushroom broth together to make soft dough. Roll into 12 × 8 inch piece. Cover top and sides of loaf with dough, saving bits of dough to make garnish.

  4. Arrange dough bits on top of loaf. Bake in 375 degree oven, 45 minute. Lift loaf onto serving platter. Garnish wih mushroom slices.
