Field Greens Salad

Ingredients

  • mesclun greens
  • crumbled blue cheese
  • red onions, sliced thin
  • apple or pear, sliced
  • toasted walnuts
  • balsamic vinaigrette
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Wash and dry greens. Combine ingredients and toss with vinaigrette.

  2. variations: add dried cranberries; replace walnuts with pecans or almonds, plain or sugared; substitute raspberry vinaigrette, especially with pears
