Beef and Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (3 1/2 oz., two-envelopes) beef vegetable soup
  • 1 bottle of beer
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1 egg\
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup flour

Directions

  1. Make soup as directed on packages, using beer and water. Beat butter, egg, milk and salt together. Gradually beat in flour until dough is the consistency of thick sour cream. Drop dough by teaspoonful into simmering soup. Cover and simmer gently for 8- to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
