Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C corn syrup
  • 1/4 C melted butter
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 C pecan halves
  • 1 uncooked pie shell

Directions

  1. Mix sugar, syrup and butter together; add eggs add pecans. Fill unbaked pie shell with mixture. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Reduce temperature to 350 and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer. Serve cold or hot. Top with whipped cream if desired.
