Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb Stew meat, cubed
- 1 oz Bacon drippings
- 1 ounce flour
- 1 whole clove of garlic, peeled
- 10 Beef broth cubes
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 Green pepper sliced
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 Lg onion sliced
- 1 bottle Guinness
- 1 tsp Bouquet garni
Directions

Heat drippings in the pan and brown meat. Stir in flour. Add Guinness, beef broth, whole garlic, bouquet garni and mustard. Bring to a slow boil. Pour into oven proof casserole and cook two and half hours at 300 F. Add green pepper, onion and mushrooms. Cook 1/2 hour more, serve With boiled or mashed potatoes.
