Ingredients
- 2 small sweet potatoes, halved lengthwise
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt, divided
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh sage
Directions

Preheat oven to 400.

Rub potatoes with oil, and sprinkle all over with 1/2 tsp salt and pepper. Place cut side down on a rimmed baking sheet.

Bake until tender, 30-35 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together butter, cardamom, and remaining 1 tsp salt until smooth and creamy; stir in sage. Fluff potatoes and top with herb butter.
