Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1-lb. can cut green beans, drained
- 1 cup whole kernel corn, undrained
- 1 10 1/2 oz. can condensed tomato soup.
- Cheese spins:
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 cup sifted self-rising flour
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Directions
- Cook onion in small amount of fat until tender; add ground beef, salt and pepper and brown slightly. Add green beans, corn and tomato soup.

Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with cheese spins.

Cut shortening into flour and stir to milk. Turn out on floured board or pastry cloth; knead lightly and roll out into a rectangle. Spread cheese over dough; roll like jelly roll. Cut into 1-inch slices and place on top of beef mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
