Ingredients
- 2 lbs. chuck roast, cut into 2 inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 cup water
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 onions, chopped
- 8 allspice corns
- 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 4 potatoes or hot cooked noodles
Directions

Heat pressure cooker and add shortening. Brown meat. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Add water, garlic, onions, allspice corns and tomato paste. Place around meat. Close cover securely and put regulator in place. Cook 15 minutes with regulator rocking slowly. Let pressure drop of its own accord.

If using noodles, omit potatoes, and serve goulash over hot noodles.
