Beef Kabobs with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 lb. lean boneless beef, sirloin or top round, in 1-inch cubes
- 8 small onions, quartered
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 zucchini, sliced
- 1 large cucumber
- 1 container (8 oz.) plain yogurt
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 16 small pita breads
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped

Place beef and onion in bowl. Combine oil, lemon juice, curry, salt, paprika, ginger, pepper, garlic and bay leaf; pour over beef and onions. Mix gently. Cover; refrigerate overnight.

Drain beef and onions, reserving marinade. Discard bay leaf. Alternately thread beef, onion and zucchini on 8 long or 16 short skewers.

Grill over hot coals 10 to 15 minutes or until meat is cooked to desired doneness; turn once and baste occasionally with marinade.

Meanwhile, peel cucumber, leaving some skin on; seed and chop cucumber. Combine yogurt, cucumber ad cumin in small bowl; reserve.

Serve kabobs with pita breads, yogurt sauce and chopped tomato.
