Ingredients
- 1 lb. sirloin beef, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 6 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 1/4 lb.)
- 1 large onion. cut into wedges (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 carrots, pared and cut into 1/2-inch pieces (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 12 small mushrooms
- 1 cup Burgundy or other dry red wine
- 1/2 cup A.1 Steak sauce

Coat beef with flour; set aside.

In large heavy pot, over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp; remove with slotted spoon and reserve.

Brown beef, a few pieces at a time, in drippings.

Return cooked beef and bacon to pot with onion, garlic, carrots, mushrooms, wine, and steak sauce; cover. Simmer 40 minutes or until carrots are tender, stirring occasionally.
