Beef-Cabbage Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 4 to 5 cups coarsely shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 tsp. caraway seeds
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet; add cabbage and onion, mixing well.

  2. Arrange potatoes over cabbage; sprinkle with caraway seeds. Crumble ground beef over potatoes; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour tomato sauce over ground beef.

  3. Cover skillet, and cook over low heat 30 to 35 minutes or until meat is done.
