Ingredients
- 2 lbs. boneless beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 medium onions. chopped
- 2 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and seeded2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
- 1/2 cup dark seedless raisins
- 1/2 cup toasted, salted peanuts, finely ground
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 4 to 6 quarts boiling water
- 1 lb. spaghetti

In Dutch oven brown meat in oil. Remove meat; saute onion and garlic in drippings until tender. Add browned meat, water, salt, other seasonings and vinegar to sautéed onion mixture.

Cook 15 minutes longer ( or until met is tender). stir in ground peanuts and chocolate; cool over low het 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, add 2 Tbsp. salt to rapidly boiling water. Gradually add spaghetti so that water continues to boil.

Cook, uncovered, until tender. Drain in colander. Serve with beef mile., garnished with chopped parsley, if desired.

If desired 1/3 cup peanut butter can be substituted for toasted ground peanuts.
