Categories: Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 15 oz. can chili con carne (without beans)
  • 10.75 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 10 oz. can diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 4 oz. jar diced pimientos, drained
  • 1 pkg. (2 lbs.) process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
  • Prepared taquitos, tortilla chips or corn chips

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook and crumble the beef and sausage with the onion, jalapenos and garlic over medium-high heat until the meat is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer mixture to a slow cooker. Stir in the chili, soup, tomatoes, pimientos and cheese.

  2. Cook, covered, on LOW until heated through, 2-3 hours, stirring halfway through cooking. Serve warm with taquitos or chips.
