Toasted Italian Sandwich with Roasted Red Pepper Mayo

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted red peppers
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 8 sesame seed buns, split
  • 6 oz. thinly sliced capocollo
  • 6 oz. thinly sliced provolone
  • 5 oz. thinly sliced salami
  • 2 cups shaved cabbage
  • 2 large plum tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. In food processor, pulse mayo, peppers, and garlic until blended; season mayo. Build sandwiches with buns, mayo, and remaining ingredients. On baking sheet, bake at 350 until cheese is melted, about 7 minutes.
