Ingredients
- 3 lbs. medium fresh mushrooms
- 8 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 2 cups dry red wine
- 3 tbsp bitters
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp beef bouillon granules
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

In a large saucepan, combine mushrooms and water. Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Drain; return the mushrooms to pan.

In a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour over the mushrooms; cool slightly.

Transfer mushroom mixture to glass jars with tight-fitting lids. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 days. Just before serving, discard bay leaf.
