Korean Barbecue Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb. sliced rib-eye steak
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • Vegetable oil
  • Scallions, for serving

Directions

  1. Whisk soy sauce with sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, scallions, red pepper flakes and black pepper. Add steak and onion; marinate 1 hour. Stir-fry carrots in vegetable oil, 2 minutes; remove. Stir-fry beef with the marinade in batches, 2 minutes. Add the carrots; toss. Top with scallions.
