Ingredients
- 1 small can whole water chestnuts (roughly 12)
- 4 slices thin sliced pork bacon
- 1/2 bottle favorite bbq sauce
Directions
-
Rinse and drain water chestnuts well. Blot with paper towel to remove excess moisture.
-
Cut bacon slices into thirds. Wrap one third of a slice of bacon around each water chestnut and secure with toothpick by skewering through the top (this will later be used to pick up the item to eat!).
-
Place into round 9" glass pie dish, spacing equally. Cover generously with bbq sauce.
-
Bake in 350 oven for 25 minutes, or until bacon is cooked and bbq sauce becomes thick and bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens even more. (I serve mine straight to the table in the pie plate!)
