Chocolate Cake in a Mug

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Tiny pinch of kosher salt
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Splash of vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp semisweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Sprinkles, for serving
  • Ice cream, for serving

Directions

  1. In a 12-oz. microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Stir with a fork then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Stir until it just comes together then add the chocolate chips and stir.

  2. Microwave for 90 seconds. Let it sit for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, just to cool off a bit. Pile in the whipped cream and sprinkles.
