Ingredients
- 7 oz. (about 2 cups) whole-wheat pastry flour
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
- 2 oz. grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 425. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, dry mustard, kosher salt and cayenne in a large bowl. Stir in chives and Parmesan.

Combine buttermilk, butter, and olive oil, stirring until butter solidifies in clumps. Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until a soft dough forms. Pat dough into a 7-inch circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut into 8 wedges, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake until browned, 12-15 minutes.
