Chili Steak and Peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt, divided
  • 1 1/4 lbs. beef top sirloin steak
  • 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 mediums sweet yellow pepper, cut into strips
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish

Directions

  1. Combine chili sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, pepper flakes and 1/4 tsp salt; brush over steak. Broil steak 4-6 inches from heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion and green and yellow peppers in olive oil until tender. Add garlic, pepper and remaining salt; cook for 1 minute longer. In a small bowl, combine sour cream and horseradish. Slice steak and serve with pepper mixture and sauce.
