Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs. flat-iron steak, at room temp
Directions

Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat.

Whisk together all ingredients except steak in a small bowl, then rub mixture onto 1 side of steak.

Oil grate, then grill steak, seasoned side down, about 2 minutes. Turn steak over and grill 4-6 minutes more for medium-rare. Transfer steaks to a platter and let rest 3-4 minutes.
