- 3 1/4 C milk
- 1 C quick cooking grits
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/4 C grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 t kosher salt
- 1/4 t ground black pepper
- bacon crumbles
Directions

bring milk to a boil over medium-high heat

add grits, salt, pepper and butter

stir frequently until grits are soft
