Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 C milk
  • 1 C quick cooking grits
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 C grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 t kosher salt
  • 1/4 t ground black pepper
  • bacon crumbles

Directions

  1. bring milk to a boil over medium-high heat

  2. add grits, salt, pepper and butter

  3. stir frequently until grits are soft

  4. stir in cheese and bacon
