Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 red onion, cut into wedges
- 1 lb. bacon, chopped
- 16 oz. bag deli pizza dough
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 8 oz. package sharp white Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
- 12 cloves roasted garlic, thinly sliced
- 3-4 fresh basil leaves, roughly torn

Preheat oven to 475. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook until soft and caramelized, about 30 minutes. Let cool; remove from skillet.

In same saute pan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon using a slotted spoon, and let drain on paper towels.

On a lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into a 14×10-inch rectangle. Place on prepared pan. Brush with oil. Sprinkle one-third of cheese over dough. Top with half each of apple slices, roasted garlic, bacon and red onion. Repeat layers once. Top with remaining cheese.

Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Top with basil.
