Sue’s Pecan Pie

Makes 2 pies

Serves 16 people

Ingredients

  • Two 9-inch pie shells
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tbl. Goodman's Caramel Burnt Sugar flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. Goodman's Butter flavoring
  • 3 cups corn syrup, dark or light
  • 3 cups pecans, chopped or whole

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Beat eggs. Stir in sugar, caramel and butter flavorings, salt and syrup.

  3. Add melted butter.

  4. Spread 1 cup of pecans in each pie shell.

  5. Pour mixture into each pie shell, dividing evenly.

  6. Bake for 1 hour, until set. Pie will jiggle in center, but will be firm around edges.

  7. Let cool completely before serving.
