Patty Melt Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 lb. tenderloin tips
  • 1 tbsp. Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 15 oz. bottle Alfredo sauce
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp. spicy brown mustard
  • 8 cups cubed seeded rye bread
  • 2 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Garnish: chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. In a large nonstick saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add steak, steak seasoning, and gravy mix; cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 6 minutes. Add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 3 minutes.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together Alfredo sauce, eggs and mustard. Stir in beef mixture, bread, 1 1/2 cups cheese, and parsley. Spoon into prepared pan; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.

  4. Bake until golden brown and center is set, about 40 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
