Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, divided
- 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup tomato chutney
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh oregano
- Garnish: chopped fresh oregano
Directions
-
In a small bowl, stir together salt, paprika, cumin, chili powder, and pepper. Season pork with salt mixture.
-
In a large saucepan, melt 2 tbsp. butter over medium-high heat. Add pork; cook, turning once, until browned, about 6 minutes per side. Remove from pan.
-
Melt remaining 2 tbsp. butter in pan. Add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until light golden brown, about 8 minutes. Add garlic; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in broth, using spoon to scrape browned bits from bottom of pan. Stir in tomato chutney and oregano.
-
Reduce heat to medium; return pork chops to pan. Cook until sauce is thickened and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Garnish with oregano.
