Ingredients
- 2 cups tomato passata / puree OR 1 can (16 ounce) US tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 + teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust heat to taste)
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions

Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Mix then simmer for 10 minutes on medium low.

ansfer to serving bowl, cool and serve with tacos or other Mexican dishes requiring a sauce. Makes around 2.5 cups.
