Categories: Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut lengthwise into thick strips
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup hot sauce
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- Vegetable oil, for spraying
Directions
-
Preheat air fryer as directed. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Sprinkle chicken all over with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and hot sauce until combined. Place flour in a shallow dish. Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Dredge in flour, gently pressing to adhere. Place chicken pieces on prepared pan.
-
Working in batches of 4, liberally spray top of chicken pieces with oil, and place, spray side down, in air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. Liberally spray top of chicken pieces.
-
Set air fryer to 350, and cook for 15 minutes. Turn chicken, spray with oil, and cook for 10 minutes. Turn chicken again, and spray with oil. Increase temp to 400, and cook until cooked through, about 7 minutes more. Remove chicken, and keep warm. Repeat procedure with remaining chicken.
