Grandma’s Poultry Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 7 cups coarse dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp. diced onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. In a large skillet, brown pork sausage. Drain and discard the drippings. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until bubbles form around sides of pan. In a large bowl, combine sausage, milk and remaining ingredients.

  2. Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake until lightly browned, about 40 minutes.
